20 Years – Our Story

  • Storm Staff

    Storm is a soccer organization that provides training to New York soccer clubs. Since 2007 we have dedicated all our training to ages 3-9 and the staff train more players now than ever before.

  • Storm Staff Educational Tour

    Storm has updated its knowledge by visiting some of the best professional clubs in the world. In 2015 it was Liverpool.

    In 2014 it was Blackburn, Bolton & Wigan

  • Staff Meetings

    Storm has conducted meetings home and abroad, inside and outside, constantly improving all our coaches. This meeting was with coach Sammy Lee as part of our educational tour in England. Sammy is a former Liverpool and England assistant coach and player.

  • Youth Teams

    From 2000-2006 Storm trainers coached National Championship teams in combination with its intramural and rec' programs. In those years Storm reached SIX National finals. Albertson Clash was one such team who reached two National Championships in 2003 and 2004.

  • US Youth National Champs

    New Rochelle Raiders was another team who reached the National Championships in 2005. They also won 4 state cups.

  • Super Y Champs

    Storm National Championship winning team in 2005.

  • Super Y-League Champs (cont’)

    Storm and NY Freedom collaborated and reached two Super Y-League National Championships, winning in 2002 & finalist in 2004.

  • Camps

    Since 1999 thousands of boys and girls from all over the Metropolitan area and beyond have developed their skills, in a fun and safe environment through Storm’s camp programs.

  • The Start – 1999

    Since Storm's inception in 1999 Jon Urbom (across) has played a major part. He has coached all levels and ages from Professional and Academy players to travel teams and intramural players. He has also worked for three National Championship winning coaches, worked with three local colleges, was an All-American at St. John's and played for the Puerto Rico National team.

  • Tours

    Between 2003-2005 Storm taken some of its National Championships winning teams to England to play a host of Premier league Academies.
