  • Storm Staff

    Storm is a soccer organization that provides training to New York soccer clubs. Since 2007 we have dedicated all our training to ages 3-9 and the staff train more players now than ever before.

  • Storm Staff Educational Tour

    Storm has updated its knowledge by visiting some of the best professional clubs in the world. In 2015 it was Liverpool.

  • Staff Meetings

    Storm has conducted meetings home and abroad, inside and outside, constantly improving all our coaches. This meeting was with coach Sammy Lee as part of our educational tour in England. Sammy is a former Liverpool and England assistant coach and player.

  • Youth Teams

    From 2000-2006 Storm trainers coached National Championship teams in combination with its intramural and rec' programs. In those years Storm reached SIX National finals. Albertson Clash was one such team who reached two National Championships in 2003 and 2004.

  • US Youth National Champs

    New Rochelle Raiders was another team who reached the National Championships in 2005. They also won 4 state cups.

  • Super Y Champs

    Storm National Championship winning team in 2005.

  • Super Y-League Champs (cont’)

    Storm and NY Freedom collaborated and reached two Super Y-League National Championships, winning in 2002 & finalist in 2004.

  • Camps

    Since 1999 thousands of boys and girls from all over the Metropolitan area and beyond have developed their skills, in a fun and safe environment through Storm’s camp programs.

  • The Start – 1999

    Since Storm's inception in 1999 Jon Urbom (across) has played a major part. He has coached all levels and ages from Professional and Academy players to travel teams and intramural players. He has also worked for three National Championship winning coaches, worked with three local colleges, was an All-American at St. John's and played for the Puerto Rico National team.

  • Tours

    Between 2003-2005 Storm taken some of its National Championships winning teams to England to play a host of Premier league Academies.

  • Storm updates name and logo

    With changes in the soccer landscape Storm has decided to update our name to Storm Soccer Training. With that we have rolled out an updated logo to reflect its focus.  Storm Soccer Training is now a company that only provides training to local clubs in the NY area. We are no longer an Academy and this allows us to put 100% of our efforts into the clubs we are partnered with. What remains the same are the staff, practices, curriculum's and planning and training models providing programs that make every player better.

    Storm is a soccer organization that provides training to New York soccer clubs for boys and girls ages 3-9. We constantly deliver attacking practices that cater to both the individual player and small groups of players.  Storm is pleased to announce as we add another year of providing soccer training to players, coaches and clubs in New York, we are providing training to more players now than ever before. In our history we have developed long-standing relationships with soccer clubs and our coaching staff has matured into a group of excellence and stability. We are thankful that we have achieved an average of nine years of training with each soccer club and currently have an average of eight years of service from each staff member. Our company and training staff maturity, reliability and quality have come from our years of experience, our attention to coaching detail, trips to professional clubs, visiting youth National team’s practices home and abroad and far too many meetings!!!  As a result we provide a very strong service and our age based curriculum's have matured into the most professional, exciting, and efficient we have ever offered.   • 2015 Educational Tour: Liverpool FC

    As part of Storm Academy's coaching education the company visited Liverpool Football Club. Storm is constantly updating and improving its methodology and the recent trip to Liverpool F. C. served to enhance our coaching product. The trip consisted of: Watching new practices that Storm will bring back to New York An exchange of curriculum ideas Compared the Liverpool Academy structure to the United States. LFC U14 LFC U13

  • 2014 Educational Tour

    To celebrate its 15th year of soccer training Storm Academy's staff traveled to the UK for a coaching educational tour. For its 6 night trip Storm had lectures and meetings  with 1st team managers, Academy directors, 1st and youth team coaches, England's fitness coach, analysts and heads of sports science. Storm also watched numerous practices at every level ranging from U6 to 1st team. Storm exchanged curriculum ideas and coaching practices with all the professional clubs and were given great insight into running a UK academy, the new EPPP program and the direction youth soccer is taking in the next couple of years.
